Gregory Thomas III - Head Coach

Gregory Thomas III, entering his second season as the East Angels Head Football Coach. Born in Richmond, VA, 30 years old with 10 ten years of coaching experience. Currently holding 2 Masters Degrees in Leadership and Education, I've devoted my life to mentoring our youth and inspiring change through structure, discipline and relations. My coaching career started at Limestone University as the Assistant Wide Receiver Coach, with 2 athletes getting an opportunity to play in the NFL. After my tenure at Limestone I began coaching at the high school level having an opportunity to coach at multiple schools across Colorado before finding a home with East. My commitment to coaching is the "100% rule". What that means to me is no one ever gets left behind, I achieve this every year from impacting lives, through dedication, and perseverance. It is my duty as a coach to use my platform to develop our youth's confidence, beliefs and character. Defensive Line Coach - Michael Carollo

I am a young coach with a lot of energy, passion, and love for the game of football. I have three years of high school coaching experience, including time as the Defensive Line Coach, JV Head Coach, and Freshman Defensive Coordinator at Horizon High School. I also served as a Little League Head Coach for three years, where I developed a strong passion for developing young athletes and teaching the fundamentals of the game at an early age. My purpose in coaching comes from my own experiences growing up. I did not always have positive experiences with coaches, and because of that, I strive to be the coach I never had. I want to be someone my players can trust, learn from, and come talk to about anything. Building relationships and creating a positive impact on young athletes is the most important part of coaching to me. Family has always been a major part of my life and continues to shape who I am as a coach and mentor. After high school, I made the decision to stay home and help support my family instead of pursuing college football. That experience taught me sacrifice, responsibility, and the importance of putting others first. Those values drive me every day to help provide opportunities, experiences, and guidance for student-athletes that I may not have had myself.

I believe football is about more than wins and losses. Football teaches discipline, accountability, leadership, and work ethic that players can carry with them throughout life. My goal is to help prepare student-athletes not only for success on the field, but also for opportunities in college, careers, and life beyond football.

RB Coach - Coach Voni

Coach Voni is a Denver native with a lifelong passion for football and mentorship. A graduate of Mullen High School, he was part of three state championship teams before continuing his athletic career at both the Division II and Division I collegiate levels. Although his playing career was cut short due to a career-ending injury, the experience deepened his commitment to the game and to developing young athletes.

With over six years of coaching experience ranging from youth football to the high school level, Coach Voni currently serves as a running backs coach and is entering his second season in that role. His coaching philosophy is rooted in discipline, accountability, confidence, and character development both on and off the field.

Coach Voni was inspired to coach because of the lasting impact his own coaches had on his life. Through football, he learned valuable lessons about leadership, perseverance, and manhood, and he is passionate about passing those lessons on to the next generation. He believes that having a strong, positive male mentor who believes in a young man can make a life-changing difference, not only throughout an athlete’s football journey, but long after the cleats come off.
